ASA information was sent home with students on the last day of school before break!  Be sure to take a look at that information to determine when your student starts their next round of activities.

Reminders:
Miss Effie sent out a note about her Swim Unit starting on Sunday, April 10! Students will start swimming the day we return from Spring Break!  See information from Miss Effie below.

Week of March 28

Sunday Schedule:  Week 1, Day 5

Upcoming Events and Special Notes:
There is no new Homework Planner this week because of it being such a short week.  If you would like to continue with homework throughout the week, you may continue with 20 minutes of reading each night (and filling in the Reading Log) and review with IXL math, but there are not any new assignments coming home with the Homework Planner.

When we return to school on April 10 after break we will be returning on a DAY 2.

Week of March 20

Sunday Schedule:  Week 2, Day 6

Upcoming Events and Special Notes:
We're getting excited about our upcoming trip to the Royal Opera House!  On Tuesday, March 22, grade four students have been given the opportunity to see "The Magic Flue: or Defeating the Monsters" a re-telling of on of Mozart's most famous operas, "The Magic Flute."  This interactive opera has been designed especially for children.  Students will sing along and use props at certain times during the show to participate!  What a neat experience!  Parent Permission slips went home last week so be on the look out and get it returned to ensure they can join us on the trip!    On another note, Mrs. Elbin has been working hard with our students to study the characters and songs, and we're working on making the needed props in class.  One item 4AN students need is a flashlight so I asked all students to check at home this weekend and bring them to school next week.  If you have one or two that you can send to school, that would be great!  It would help us cover if some students don't have one.

Reminders: 
Please have students wear their TAISM uniforms to the Royal Opera House on Tuesday, March 22.  Although this is typically a P.E. day, the students will miss their P.E. class due to the time of the performance and will not need to wear their P.E. uniform.  Please wear the TAISM polo and pants for the Royal Opera House on Tuesday, March 22.

Remember to continue to look for the 4AN Homework Planner coming home each week!  What a great tool to help us all stay organized!  The planner serves as resource for your student to keep nightly homework assignments organized (and to communicate them with you), as a communication tool between home and school (feel free to leave quick notes on the planner as a daily communication check in), and as a weekly update for what's happening in Math with the attached Math Newsletters!
